Well, today is our official 1st day of Christmas Break. Prince "R" had his last day yesterday of school. Hubby took the day off so he could drive him to school. Our school district was off already so the buses don't run. I would have let him just miss his last day of school, but he was having his Christmas party. So Daddy took him to school and took his 2 big brothers out for the morning.
So today I am on my own with 5 kids at home. And beside the early first hour of which I was trying to get them to play quietly in their room since the younger 2 were still asleep and it was still dark outside. Our morning as gone well.
I have gotten allot done. While they ate breakfast I got clothes in the washer and emptied the dishwasher. Then they all helped me move all the chair and pick up the toys so I could vacuum. Then they helped me put everything back. Then I had them put their clothes away that I folded last night. While I put Princess clothes and blankets away. I was talking to Hubby's Grandma in Cali while doing the clothes. Then I told them since they did really well this morning and hadn't watched any TV yet. They could sit on the couch and watch PBS. I loved getting to sit back and watch them sitting so quietly (a very rare moment!!) all together. Prince "J" was sitting on the purple chair we have and Prince "A" and "R" were sitting with Princess on the couch. I was holding Prince "S" (another rare moment for 2 reasons: 1. I hardly get to sit down and 2. Prince "S" thinks he is too BIG for cuddling most of the time.) in the rocking chair. They watched I think 1 or 1 1/2 hours or so. Couldn't take them outside even if I wanted too. It is wet, muddy, and way too cold right now. But this afternoon I am going to try my best to get them to do some homework. We will see how that goes.
For now they are all laying down for a nap. Hopefully a long nap....
How is your day going???
Enjoy,
Mommy of 5
P.S. Can you believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve??? Not me....
