When I got out of the Van. I notice the tail end of my Van was in the No Parking Zone. I had Prince "R" sit back down and moved the Van up a bit. I then got the last child unbuckled and was trying to get my keys so I could lock the Van.










So we could go and get these children from school....

The problem was this....









While I was trying to get my keys fixed in my hand the right way so I could lock the Van.....







The keys slipped into this....

Yes, that is a storm drain...

Thankfully it wasn't raining and it hadn't been raining for over 24 hours. So my keys shouldn't have moved. I was so shocked and didn't know what to do. So I closed all the doors and went into the school. I asked the Lady in the Office what to do. She called the City and thankfully they got there within 10 minutes. The 2 children that we picked up from school kept asking me why I dropped my keys in the storm drain...Like I did it on purpose...





When the nice Gentleman gave me my kids, I asked how nasty that storm is. He just smile and laughed a bit.....That answered my question. I put the keys in the car and started it. I then sanitized my hands.















When I got home I sprayed my keys with this....

Thankfully, my remote keys still working... The storm drain didn't have allot of water thank goodness. So my keys didn't go anywhere....

Needless to say.... I am never parking next to a storm drain again....

Happy Mother's Day!!

I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day today. I hope it is filled with family, loved ones, and great Memories. Remember those Mama's whose Children have left them to early.

I got to spend my Mother's Day sleeping in. Now I am watching "Horton Hears a Who" with my kids!!

"Not Me!" Monday....My 1st

This is the first time I am doing this. It comes from Mck Mama's blog. Here is what she posted about it and how it got started:

Can you believe that it has been exactly seven weeks since my last Not Me! Monday post? I hardly can. And, if you don't know what Not Me! Monday is, then you must be a relative newcomer. If that is the case, let me officially welcome you to my blog. I am glad you are along for the ride! And, while I have you, let me explain Not Me! Monday. A long time ago, I wrote this post on my blog. I thought it was funny to 'fess up about some embarrassing things I'd done that week...by pretending I totally did not actually do them! When I got a great response to that post, with many folks leaving their Not Me's in the comments, which left me in stitches, I decided to turn my idea into a blog carnival. I have not looked back since. You can read all of my old Not Me! Monday entries here.

So here I go:

This past week I didn't go fishing with my 4 older kids and hubby. I didn't actually touch the fish and took them off the hook. I didn't actually get a kick out of doing it. Not me... I am a girl and girls don't do that. I most certainly am not going back today to do it more... Not me...

I didn't just buy some homeschooling books and pocket chart books and pocket charts to work with the kids this summer... Not me... I never thought I would be even thinking of homeschooling.... Not with 5 kids. I don't have the energy for that....Not me.... I am certainly not getting excited about summer and trying to play school with the kids this summer. I am not thinking of working with my younger 2 this coming school year since my 3 older kids will be in school full time.... Not me... Don't have the time or energy for that....

I think that is all I didn't do last week that I care to share.

Gone Fishing

Well, Hubby, the kids (the 4 older ones) and I went Fishing today. We had a ton of fun!!! Hubby's mom has 2 ponds at her house. The front Pond is going to be filled in by the City because they are going to be widening the road. So we will be moving the Fish from the front Pond to the Back Pond soon.

Today we just spent some time together just fishing. We had allot of fun. I even touched the fish and took them off the hook. I impressed myself!!
